Villa Taman Sorga is very popular with families. There’s plenty of room outside and kids will love exploring the gardens and playing on the velvety lawns. While there’s no wading section in the lagoon-style pool, those confident in the water will love swimming under the bridge that dissects the pool, and parents can keep an eye on less experienced swimmers from the comfort of the daybed or covered seating area in the pool pavilion. Those with toddlers will need to be vigilant around the villa’s many fishponds, water features and small streams.
With a satellite TV and DVD player in every bedroom as well as the spacious media room with home cinema system, there will never be a problem with who gets to choose what to watch.
Villa Taman Sorga’s staff will make children feel very welcome, and the cook will ensure that they enjoy their meals as much as the adults. Youngsters love sprawling on the triangular cushions at the low table on the dining terrace, as well as sitting around the breakfast table in the air-conditioned kitchen. Children’s meals can be taken at different times so that mums and dads can enjoy grown-up time, or request a babysitter for the evening. (Guests may, of course, prepare children’s meals themselves in the gourmet kitchen, but why worry when a kid-savvy cook is on hand?)
Just five minutes’ gentle stroll from the villa is Sanur Beach, where shallow protected waters and golden sand will keep kids of all ages occupied with everything from sandcastle building to snorkelling and kayaking. Further afield, there’s plenty in the area to keep all the family amused throughout the holiday… check out our Things to do page.
For those travelling with infants, there’s no need to pack cumbersome equipment. The villa has a baby cot and high chair, and anything else you might need can be hired in for you; just ask for the list (click here to see list of available hire items).
